Mr. & Mrs. Brown | Newberry, SC Wedding

Erin & Vic became husband and wife in Newberry, SC on a gorgeous January day, and it was just an incredibly sweet way to kick off my year. Another reason why I loved this day so much is because I also photographed Erin’s sister’s wedding just a few months later, and I loved spending so much time with their family and seeing that strong sister bond as they each stood beside the other on their big day! I’ll never forget Erin’s first look with her dad, the overflow of emotion during the ceremony or the quiet moments I had with the newlyweds right as we walked out to the side of the church. The word “tender” comes to mind when I think about these two and how sweet they are together, and I feel most honored to have walked through their most cherished day with them.

When asked what Erin thought to be most important within marriage, her answer was the most encouraging:
“Nonverbal communication: a simple hand holding while walking into the grocery store to let the other one know that you’re glad they are there.
Verbal communication: what we do all the time with each other. It is important to make sure we are using words towards our spouse that will build them up on a daily basis, and not tear them down.
And lastly, spiritual communication: as Christians, we can grow as individuals and as couples from communicating with the Lord.”

Here’s a little glimpse into the day they became Mr. & Mrs. Brown!
